| Who? |
|
The McSmooth (not M.C. Smooth) nickname came from a term friends of mine came up with in college.
One weekend we decided to start using the McDonalds product recognition on common words they do not have products for.
"Can I get some McBBQSauce? And where is your McBathroom?"
People got creative and started using it on verbs.
"He totally just McPuked behind the dumpster."
Eventually it made it to adjectives and the term McSmooth was coined when people were being not-so smooth.
"Nice job drinking out of the ash-can, McSmooth."
When deciding on my domain name for the site, I thought it would be funny to pick this, and also went with it as a moniker for myself.
I had been going by DJ Flash in high school which turned out to be very unoriginal.

|
| What? |
|
The site was originally used to display my latest mixes and other stupid junk you put on your first crappy website.
I now use this site to display my video, music, work, ideas and other various abilities.
As a web developer it helps me keep in practice
|
|
| Where? |
|
The internet, http://McSmooth.com. I taught myself how to develop web pages in college at NIU.
Now I update it from wherever I feel like it.
|
|
| When? |
|
I began my first crappy site in 1997 learning the basics of the web.
I have been continually updating it since then, learning new web technologies as they advance and uploading bigger and better files as connection speeds and hard drive capacities increase.

|
| Why? |
I've always had the desire to build and create things on my own.
I can trace this back to legos and other similar toys as a kid.
When I started hearing music that I liked, I wanted to be able to make music myself.
In school I got into computers and learned how to program and build them.
After I got on the internet, I wanted to create my own web site.
I now use the site as a medium to display my creations.
I have put this web site together as entertainment and education for people interested in my work and fun.
I hope it can help promote my creations to those who are new to what I have to offer.
On the internet, many come to sites seeking information.
I remember all that I had to learn on my own before these resources were available.
Therefore I am trying to also provide information about what I have learned over the years.
Much work over much time has gone into this site and all of the included content.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did creating it.
